in the example above the hummingbird's body is in focus while the background is blurred causing the eye to focus on the bird. Photographers can use other elements to move the eye to the focus, like diagonal and leading lines. The use of color can also direct the eye. In the image "ryah and kuma" the magenta zipper forming a v at ryah's neck pulls the eye in her direction, although there is an adorable puppy with her. In the images "Sparkle" and "pandora" the focal point takes up the center of the picture and the rest of the image fades into the background. In the image "Sly" the bearded Dragons body position pulls the eyes to the left and straight to the focal point.
