use & integration of photographyFirst I will give a step-by-step guide for teachers to create their first piktochart. Next I will detail the collaborative activity.
Procedures step 1. Teachers will upload the four images they brought of themselves to a folder on their laptops, ((1)Baby picture (2) childhood pictures and (1) adult picture. step 2. Teachers will photograph each other to add the 5th picture to the folder. step 3. Teachers go to pictochart.com step 4. Teachers will create an account so that they can save their work. step 5. Teachers will select the blank template from the dashboard. step 6. Teachers will choose a background for their piktochart from the toolbox on the right side of the screen step 7. Teachers will drag the choosen text style box on to the chart and edit it with their name step 8. Teachers will drag the image element onto the chart and upload the image of them as an infant step 9. Teachers will click on the text element and select an unique text frame and drag it in close proximity to the image and add a blurb about themselves step 10. Teachers will repeat steps 8 – 9, until all 5 images are placed on the chart step 11. Teachers will click on the graphic icon and select a line element to organize the images and text on the chart step 12. Teachers will save their chart step 13. Teachers will print their chart and post it on the wall at their predesignate number step 15. Teachers will write a reflection on their experience creating the piktochart step 16. Teachers will walk around the room analyzing their peers piktocharts Interactive Collaboration Teachers will pair up with a person that teaches the same subject as they do. They will collaborate to find one standard they can incorporate the use of student created piktocharts. Once they have an agreed upon concept, they will use the laptops to create a lesson plan using the tool. Hands-on Activity Teachers will create a lesson plan to integrate infographics. |
