In the study of art, a shape is an enclosed space, a bounded two-dimensional form that has both length and width. (Esaak, 2018) There are many kinds of shapes that fall into this 2D description, like triangle, square and circle. Shapes are one of the first concepts young students learn about. There are two classifications of shapes, geometric and organic. The geometric shapes are the ones we often give names to, but organic shapes are the ones that are found in nature. There is away to have a 3D shape in an image, Essak states, “You can add value to give it highlights and shadows, making it look more three-dimensional.” (Esaak, 2018)
